Main Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of Building & Structure Maintenance Technicians and subcontractors in conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications on building structures.
- Supervise field activities involving maintenance on structures, including stitching, grouting, scaffolding, pressure pointing, re-casing, and general structural repairs and finishes.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and work instructions as required.
- Assist with job familiarization and provide training and assessment as necessary.
- Produce and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a computerized maintenance management system.
- Collaborate with the Building & Structure Maintenance Engineer or technical support staff to implement complex systems or new projects.
- Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Conduct performance reviews for Building & Structure Maintenance Technicians.
- Perform shift and emergency duties as required.
- Drive work vehicles during emergencies and as necessary during duty hours.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Building & Structure Maintenance Engineer.
Knowledge Required
- Working knowledge of reinforced concrete strength, structural masonry, structural steel inspections, foundation testing, and corrosion studies.
Key Skills
- Ability to compile technical reports, routine business correspondence, and prepare method statements and drawings as needed.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience operating mobile boom and scaffolding equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid UAE driving license with proven driving skills and experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in building and structure maintenance activities, including implementation and review.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience leading a team of Building & Structure Maintenance Technicians.
- Thorough understanding of electronic test equipment use, calibration, and maintenance, along with the ability to interpret instructions in various forms.
Educational Qualification
- Must hold a vocational trade certificate, diploma, or degree in Civil Engineering discipline.
