Key Responsibilities

  • Run the daily operational checks and controls that protect client assets, escalating anything that looks wrong.
  • Reconcile assets, fiat, and staking rewards, identifying discrepancies and ensuring their resolution.
  • Support Travel Rule compliance by keeping records accurate and maintaining regulatory reporting on track.
  • Assist in delivering new products, including off-exchange settlement and testing new custody solutions before they are introduced to clients.
  • Embrace a constant improvement mindset; redesign slower or overly manual processes, incorporating AI tooling and small automations where applicable.

Skills and Attributes for Success
Judgement is critical in a control environment, clearly demonstrated in how an Analyst approaches anomalies.

  • You work from first principles; when faced with an unfamiliar problem, you deduce what must be true rather than awaiting instructions.
  • You can identify discrepancies, such as mismatched numbers or unexpected balance changes.
  • You question the purpose behind controls, rather than merely following procedures.
  • You exhibit intellectual honesty, openly acknowledging uncertainties or errors as strengths rather than weaknesses.
  • You provide clear reasoning for your conclusions, supporting them with evidence.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity; in a market and regulatory landscape that is still evolving, you will need to address questions that lack documented answers and make defensible decisions while flagging uncertainties.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • A degree in a STEM, numerate, or analytical discipline.
  • A genuine interest in digital assets and their integration within institutional finance, demonstrated through your reading, projects, or experiences.
  • Comfort in handling financial data, with the discipline to carry out checks accurately even during routine periods.
  • Clear and concise written communication skills, coupled with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Nice to Have

  • An internship, placement, or up to two years of experience in financial services, operations, audit, or a control function.
  • Familiarity with reconciliation, settlement, or regulatory reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or experience with on-chain data and block explorers.
