We are seeking a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), monitoring services, GCP Cloud Functions, and Cloud Data pipelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles, primarily with Terraform.
- Implement and manage monitoring services to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of cloud environments.
- Develop and deploy GCP Cloud Functions for serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
- Design and implement Cloud Data pipelines for data processing and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design architecture, and deliver scalable cloud solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including proficiency in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
- Strong expertise in Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools for automating cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
- Experience implementing and configuring monitoring and logging services on GCP (e.g., Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring).
- Proven track record of designing and deploying GCP Cloud Functions for serverless applications.
- Hands-on experience building and managing Cloud Data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud Certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
