The responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the engineering team to enhance the quality and efficiency of development and operations.
  • Identifying and measuring team health indicators.
  • Implementing robust engineering and operational processes.
  • Representing the BootStack team concerning stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
  • Ensuring alignment on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Meeting service level agreements for customer deployments globally.
  • Delivering consistent and quality managed services in a timely manner.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a globally remote role with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Travel to team and company events and customer meetings is required, roughly 20% or less.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technology field.
  • Proven professional experience in software delivery using languages like Python, Go, C, C++, or Java, and/or managing operations teams.
  • Proven experience with OpenStack.
  • Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
  • Experience with Linux system administration; Ubuntu/Debian knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in managing distributed teams and understanding complex distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud topologies and technologies.
