As a Cloud Engineering Manager for the BootStack team, you will have the opportunity to work with Linux and Cloud technologies and build a career at the company. This involves managing a growing engineering team that oversees the day-to-day Managed Service of customer environments. Collaboration with customers, product engineering, and operations is crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize a growing engineering team’s quality and velocity of both development and operations.
  • Identify and measure team health indicators.
  • Implement disciplined engineering and operations processes.
  • Represent the BootStack team to stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
  • Ensure focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Meet service level agreements with customer deployments globally.
  • Deliver quality managed services consistently and timely.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) education in a technology field.
  • Proven track record in software delivery (Python, Go, C, C++, Java or similar) and/or managing operations teams.
  • Proven experience with OpenStack.
  • Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
  • Experience with Linux system administration; Ubuntu/Debian is a plus.
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience managing distributed teams.
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud topologies and technologies.
  • Willingness to travel to team and company events and customer meetings (roughly 20% or less).
