Position

We support critical enterprise initiatives in areas like public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Cloud Engineering Manager to lead the BootStack team, which designs and operates modern distributed systems for customers.

In this role, you will manage a team responsible for meeting customer service management, operations, and product improvement engineering objectives. You'll collaborate closely with customers, product engineering, and operations to ensure that our services meet a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize a growing engineering team focused on development quality and operational velocity.
  • Identify and track team health indicators.
  • Implement disciplined engineering and operations processes.
  • Represent the BootStack team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams.
  • Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Meet service level agreements for customer deployments globally.
  • Deliver high-quality managed services consistently and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technology field.
  • Proven experience in software delivery using languages such as Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar, and/or experience managing operations teams.
  • Proven experience with OpenStack.
  • Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
  • Experience in Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian preferred).
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience managing distributed teams.
  • Technical aptitude for complex distributed systems and cloud technologies.
  • Willingness to travel to team and company events and customer meetings, approximately 20% or less.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a globally remote position.
  • Occasional travel for team and company events.

Language Requirements: English proficiency is expected.
