The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across compute, virtualization, storage, networking, operating systems, databases, automation, and infrastructure operations, combined with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. This position plays a strategic role in driving operational stability, automation, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure transformation aligned with business and technology objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day enterprise infrastructure operations across compute, storage, virtualization, database, backup, and network environments.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, reliability, and scalability in line with organizational SLAs and operational KPIs.
- Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and operational governance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, service quality, and infrastructure resilience.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, migrations, capacity planning, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity readiness.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and governance across various platforms including Windows Server, Linux, AIX, VMware, OpenShift, SAN/NAS storage environments, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure and platform-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud, and application teams.
Automation & Optimization:
- Drive automation and operational standardization initiatives using tools such as Ansible and monitoring platforms.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes.
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure operations teams.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused operational culture.
- Engage with stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.
- Provide operational reporting, risk assessments, and service improvement recommendations to leadership teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong leadership experience managing enterprise infrastructure operations within large-scale environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Operating Systems (Windows Server, Linux, AIX), Virtualization & VMware platforms, OpenShift, storage technologies, Oracle and MSSQL databases, and enterprise networking technologies.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, automation, and operational best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities within fast-paced enterprise environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations.
- Minimum 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing enterprise infrastructure teams.
