Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end cloud migration projects, focusing on VMware vSphere-based workloads transitioning to public or hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop detailed migration strategies, blueprints, and execution plans tailored to client requirements.
- Conduct discovery and assessment of existing IT infrastructure, identifying dependencies, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration execution, including application, infrastructure, and networking components.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, providing expert guidance on cloud adoption frameworks, security, and governance best practices.
- Design and implement landing zones, automation scripts, and migration tools to ensure scalable, repeatable processes.
- Deliver architecture documents, technical presentations, and executive briefings to stakeholders and C-level executives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security controls, and organizational policies throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers to strengthen overall cloud practice capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience leading VMware vSphere migration projects, including vMotion, vCenter upgrades, and ESXi-based workload transitions.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures integrating with on-prem environments.
- Experience working within professional services or consulting environments, engaging directly with enterprise clients.
- Proficiency in migration tools and methodologies (e.g., HCX, Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security architectures in multi-cloud environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., VMware VCP/VCTA, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, ITIL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading data center consolidation or multi-cloud transformation programs.
- Exposure to automation and orchestration frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-phase migration programs in complex enterprise settings.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology initiatives with organizational objectives.
