The role of an AWS Technical Account Manager is to serve as a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. You will assist customers in maximizing their use of cloud technology, craft strategies for adopting AWS services, and advise on architecture, project planning, and operational challenges. You will work with a diverse range of clients, from startups to large enterprises, providing tailored support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for their needs
  • Ensure AWS environments are operationally healthy while minimizing costs and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, grasping their business needs and technical challenges
  • Facilitate technical discussions regarding incidents and risk management
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects and Sales Account Managers
  • Identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS services
  • Conduct detailed reviews of service events and assist in pre-launch planning
  • Address a variety of problems as customers migrate their workloads to the cloud
  • Enhance customer capabilities through workshops and informational sessions

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in relevant roles such as Technical Account Manager, Cloud Architect, or Systems Engineer
  • Solid understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting in areas like Compute, Networking, and Databases
  • Customer-facing experience with the ability to communicate effectively to various audiences
  • Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer focus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby)
  • Previous experience in software development or engineering roles
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
