Cloud Platform Senior Specialist - Infrastructure

About the Role
As a Cloud Platform Senior Specialist focusing on Infrastructure, you will design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. The primary objective is to assist in planning, designing, implementing, and administering all types of resources related to IT infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud. You will monitor performance and capacity, provide technical support, and submit reports to management to support IT operations and meet business needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and manage cloud resources (VMs, Storage, VNETs).
• Monitor cloud performance and implement cost optimization strategies.
• Manage cloud security, identity (IAM), and compliance standards.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Hybrid Identity sync (AD Connect).

General Responsibilities
A. Strategy and Planning

• Assist in the development, implementation, and updating of policy and procedures manual, ensuring alignment with overall policies.
• Help develop and align the section’s strategic, budget, and operational plans with organizational goals.
• Meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

B. Operations
IT Governance and Strategy:

• Support the implementation of IT operational standards for efficient IT operations.
• Help develop policies and operational standards for IT Infrastructure in line with industry best practices.

IT Infrastructure:

• Assist in designing and developing technical infrastructure to support IT business continuity.
• Monitor performance using proactive systems and respond to technical malfunctions swiftly.
• Implement IT disaster recovery plans for adequate backup and availability.
• Evaluate business requirements and design cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Plan, deploy, and monitor cloud resources for service availability.
• Analyze cloud resource consumption for cost effectiveness and reporting accuracy.
• Monitor administrators’ vendors’ access to the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with end users on technical issues as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Assist in vendor selection and procurement processes for operational needs.
• Prepare high-level performance reports for management.

Data Center:

• Implement standards and procedures for Data Center/server rooms ensuring ISO standards.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical system upgrades.

C. Talent Management and Development

• Ensure completion of training and certification programs for continuous improvement.
• Conduct timely performance reviews to meet KPIs.
• Stay updated with relevant information for optimal performance.
• Share knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
• Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the Emiratization strategy.

D. Corporate

• Adhere to corporate policies and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety).
• Prepare professional communication to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain section-related records per relevant policies.
• Provide support for section-related queries as needed.
• Utilize the company technologies to optimize workflow.
• Comply with the company’s values and ethics to promote a value-driven culture.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and practices.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports to meet quality standards.
• Implement health and safety policies in daily responsibilities.

E. General

• Performance levels should align with academic qualifications and job expectations.
• Acquire required academic and professional certificates as per Individual Development Plan.
• Demonstrate independence in task performance unless directed otherwise.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field.

Professional Experience

• 0 - 12 years of relevant experience.

Language Proficiency

• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
