Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Lead the design and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate security best practices across infrastructure to ensure compliance.
- Oversee IAM, network segmentation, and infrastructure hardening.
- Collaborate for proactive detection, response, and resolution of security incidents.

Application Runtime (Kubernetes)
- Own deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters.
- Provide and maintain critical platform services for application teams.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of application runtime environments.
- Develop automation and self-service capabilities for developers.

Backing Services (Databases & Middleware)
- Manage shared backing services like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Drive standardization and automate provisioning and maintenance of data services.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of backing services.

Leadership & Strategy
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing cloud platforms team.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Stay ahead of cloud technology trends and continuously evolve platform offerings.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 10+ years in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- 3+ years in leadership positions managing platform or cloud engineering teams.
- Proven experience in production-grade Kubernetes environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud security practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.
- Knowledge of security compliance frameworks.
