What You'll Do:
- Cloud Infrastructure & Security Platform Ownership: Lead the design and lifecycle management of secure cloud infrastructure.
- Security Integration: Embed security best practices and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Incident Response: Collaborate with Security and SRE teams for proactive security incident management.
- Kubernetes Operations: Own the management of Kubernetes clusters across environments.
- Service Lifecycle Management: Manage shared backing services such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing cloud platforms team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cloud technology trends to evolve platform offerings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience:
- 10+ years in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing platform or cloud engineering teams.
- Proven experience with production-grade Kubernetes environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and its ecosystem (Helm, Operators, etc.).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Knowledge of cloud security practices, including IAM and network security.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.
