Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure & Security Platform Ownership:
Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.

Security Integration:
Embed security best practices across infrastructure in compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Access & Governance:
Oversee IAM, network segmentation, and infrastructure hardening to protect critical assets.

Incident Response:
Collaborate with Security and SRE teams for proactive incident detection and resolution.

Application Runtime (Kubernetes):
Own deployment, scaling, and management of Kubernetes clusters in various environments. Develop automation and self-service capabilities to streamline developer interactions.

Backing Services (Databases & Middleware):
Manage shared backing services like MySQL and Redis; drive standardization and automate maintenance processes.

Leadership & Strategy:
Manage and mentor a high-performing cloud platforms team; partner with cross-functional teams to align capabilities with business needs.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:
Over 10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership roles managing engineering teams. Proven experience with production-grade Kubernetes environments.

Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi). Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, database management, and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication abilities. Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
