Cloud Product Owner

About the job: The Cloud Product Owner role will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including and not limited to, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and operations support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Owner is a key role within Agile teams, acting as the bridge between the customer, business stakeholders, and the development team. The role is responsible for defining the vision of the product, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the best possible product is delivered. The Product Owner prioritizes work based on business value and serves as the primary point of contact for product-related queries.

Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy: Develop and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company's goals and market opportunities. Ensure all parties have a common understanding of the objectives and how they will be achieved.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
• Requirements Definition: Define and prioritize product features and requirements based on market research, customer feedback, and business objectives, creating user stories and product backlog items. Define user stories and acceptance criteria for backlog items, translating business needs into actionable development tasks.
• Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to plan, execute, and deliver product releases and updates on time and within budget. Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next.
• Product Launch: Plan and coordinate product launches, including go-to-market strategies, marketing campaigns, and customer communication, ensuring successful product adoption and market penetration.
• Product Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to product usage, adoption, revenue, and customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Ensure that the development team delivers value to the business, focusing on features and tasks that maximize return on investment (ROI) and meet critical business needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate with stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and internal teams, to align priorities, gather feedback, and drive consensus on product decisions and priorities.
• Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with customers, gather feedback, and conduct user testing and validation to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences, and incorporate insights into product development.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and challenges related to product development, market dynamics, and competitive threats, ensuring the successful execution of product initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in product management processes, methodologies, and tools, fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and adaptation.
• Product Evangelism: Serve as the primary evangelist for the product, internally and externally, presenting product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. At least 8 years of experience in the application of Cloud Fundamentals, ITSM concepts to design cloud-based products with 2 to 3 years of strong experience in DevOps and agile product development
