In this role, you will be part of the Alliances team, where you'll assist major partners in understanding and adopting Canonical's products and technologies. You will address real-world customer challenges while enabling the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and various related technologies.
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, your responsibilities will include:
- Architecting cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms like Kubernetes, OpenStack, and public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Integrating open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and more.
- Designing Reference Architectures and validating solutions with partners.
- Leading onboarding sessions and workshops with partner teams to promote Canonical's solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
- Proficiency in designing solutions for public/private cloud environments.
- Understanding of Python and Bash, along with solid troubleshooting skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- High motivation with the ability to manage multiple tasks and commitments.
- Willingness to engage in customer-facing activities, including pitching and demonstrating technologies.
- Interest in emerging technologies (e.g., LXD, Juju, Snaps).
- Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
