We are hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect in our Alliances team to assist our largest partners in understanding and adopting our open source platform. The role involves addressing real-world customer problems, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and other technologies.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will support various alliances and partners of Canonical in adopting our products and technologies, helping business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs. You will also be actively involved in creating architectural solutions and assisting partners in offering joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and work with Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world environments
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions, including Kubernetes, OpenStack, and more, both on-premises and in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Integrate open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and others
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures, and conduct technical validations with partners
  • Prepare and conduct onboarding sessions/workshops to promote Canonical's products

Work Conditions:

  • This is a home-based role available worldwide.
  • The role requires global travel of up to 30% of the time.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds
  • Proficient in Python and Bash, with troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks and commitments
  • Interest in customer-facing engagement
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
