RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
- Record all machine-related actions by completing production and quality logs, keeping detailed records for equipment and procedures.
- Perform necessary maintenance, coolant monitoring, and cleaning of equipment daily.
- Inspect finished products to ensure that results of machining processes align with client expectations.
- Perform general machine troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Perform in-process measurement and visual inspection to ensure the quality of products meets customer requirements.
- Fill in all controlled required documents and SFC data entry, including downtime on a daily basis.
- Monitor scrap levels against the parts produced under your responsibility and highlight if levels exceed average.
- Set up cutting tools as per cutting tool list, using a heat shrink fit and dynamic tool balancer, to ensure tools are in line with the drawing requirement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade School Accreditation or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CNC Milling machine operator (Milling and Turning).
- Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S under the area of responsibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage.
