Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Report to the Commissioning Manager and provide support to the Principal Commissioning Engineer in preparing home office deliverables.
- Participate in walk-down inspections, punch listing, and testing at the site, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and instrument component issues that may arise during the project.
- Collaborate with the project team and client to maintain positive relationships.
- Support the commissioning team by performing activities that include:
- Operating and maintaining manuals development.
- Developing commissioning and start-up spares.
- Assisting with first fills and consumables development.
- Drafting commissioning and start-up procedures.
- Conducting discipline equipment system checks and tests.
- Performing function testing of mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems.
- Participating in commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Resolving operational and maintenance issues during commissioning, start-up, and performance tests.
- Supervise craft personnel required for site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate activities with other engineers in the commissioning team.

- Discipline Lead Engineers
- Project Engineers
- Construction/Fabrication Team
Supervises:
- Support personnel within the function group
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
- Good understanding of concepts, principles, and practices in commissioning, completions, and training, with basic knowledge of other functions such as construction and operations & maintenance.
- Ability to apply an understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil & gas process facility.
- Preferably possess 2+ years of commissioning and start-up experience in the chemical, refinery, or oil & gas industry.
- Effective communication skills for conveying technical solutions and concepts to both engineers and non-engineers.
- Proficiency in computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to various discipline group needs.
- Ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clear, positive, and productive manner.
- Willingness and ability to travel to international construction site assignments.
- Proficiency in English; multi-language skills are a plus.
