Position

The commissioning specialist is responsible for performing services and maintenance activities on customers' and the company's site. These activities contribute to testing, commissioning, maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing sold or existing products. This includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), managing maintenance facilities, and field services engineering. The specialist is accountable for the quality of their own work and executes tasks within a well-defined operations framework in accordance with the overall targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery) defined for the Project and in line with the technical specifications of the Contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities related to the testing and validation of equipment, facilities, or plants in accordance with the design objectives or specifications for operational use, including performance services and performance tests.
  • Responsible for activities related to commissioning on customer sites, from site mobilization to commissioning work, including management activities related to this scope and coordination with clients for daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with PMH, GRID Quality & EHS Policies and procedures.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and the company, exchanging technical information and checking for understanding.
  • Prepare final commissioning reports highlighting problem areas, recommended engineering changes, and improvements in organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure safe procedures are followed during operations, including permits, method statements, and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical includes electronics, communication, and Power).
  • 5+ years of experience in Grid Automation systems: Monitoring and Diagnostics, Protection, DCS/Substation Automation Systems (Zenon, DSagile, Aview software Alstom). Familiarity with KSA experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to learn and expand work scope in the company's products portfolio.
  • Experience in communication with Protection and control systems as well as IEDs integration.
  • Good knowledge of Power Transformers, Protection, Network, Cybersecurity, IEC61850 protocol, Modbus, IEC101, IEC104, and IEC103.

  • Team-oriented with outstanding listening skills and ability to manage through influence.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Willingness to travel 75% or more outside the base city.
  • Genuine commitment to EHS culture and adherence to I&D agenda.
  • Strong relationships with GA customers, business stakeholders, projects, operations teams, contractors, and system integrators.
