Job Summary
Creates, directs, and implements integrated messaging and communications strategies and plans to reach internal and external audiences, including our employees, clients, partners, media, investors, and the Board of Directors, across all digital and in-person channels. Protects, promotes, and enhances the brand and reputation, supports the organization in delivering strong results, aligns storytelling with key business priorities, elevates leadership profiles, and spotlights employees and their work to enrich the candidate and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Learns how to communicate messaging effectively inside and outside the organization using proven writing and editing skills.
- Assists in the completion of team projects and goals.
- Assists in the preparation of messaging and supports the implementation of communications plans.
- Builds general communications skills across a range of channels and tactics.
- Assists in the creation of messaging and content including website and social media, editorial, press releases, promotional materials, event materials, collateral, presentations, newsletters.
- Uses organizational tools to report data from communications activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Strong written, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging content across digital and traditional communication channels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Internship, university project, or extracurricular experience in communications, marketing, PR, or content creation is a plus.
