Position

This position focuses on managing larger accounts or leading a significant part of a top account. The role requires a deep understanding of the customer’s IT and business objectives, and it adds value by implementing the company’s strategy. The Specialist drives business performance across all the company's Business Units and manages the portfolio mix to optimize account profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Articulates a two-way connection between the customer's core KPIs, business priorities, and the plan to support the customer with IT solutions.
  • Influences the decision-making of customer executives by demonstrating the value of the company's Compute solutions relevant to the customer's priorities.
  • Positions the company’s Compute strategy and solutions effectively, aligning them with the customer's innovation agenda and digital journey.
  • Builds and executes growth plans for the company's Compute portfolio, driving performance through structured and recurring methods.
  • Engages with customers to identify opportunities and translate their business challenges into IT solutions.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with key customers, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness for the company.
  • Continuously updates expertise in IT technology and engages with customer technology leaders on relevant trends.
  • Leads and develops the extended account team, ensuring effective governance and feedback mechanisms are in place.
  • Coordinates with other company organizations to improve customer satisfaction and effectively utilize available tools and resources.

Requirements:

  • University or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in engineering or technology. An advanced degree or MBA is desirable.
  • Typically 6-10+ years of account management experience, preferably within the IT industry.
  • Experience working in IT departments or with customers is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of vertical industries is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong results orientation with a demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Strategic planning capabilities aligned with the company's strategy and business units.
  • Proficient in driving short-term sales objectives and managing complex sales engagements.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial reports and general business concepts.

Impact/Scope:

  • Manages multiple high-revenue accounts, potentially including large multinational accounts.
  • Oversees complex deal closures and engages with all levels of decision-makers within customer organizations.
