Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Configuration Management Processes: Develop processes that meet the unique needs of UAV systems.
- Maintain Configuration Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage Configuration Items: Control the lifecycle of configuration items from design to obsolescence management.
- Facilitate Change Control: Administer the change control process for UAV configurations, evaluating requests and coordinating approvals.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production Teams: Collaborate with different teams to align design intent and manufacturing processes.
- Configuration Status Accounting: Track the status of configuration items and generate necessary reports.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within configuration management.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to teams on configuration management principles and processes.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 to 8 years of proven experience in configuration management within aerospace, defense, or UAV industries.
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in configuration management software and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, CMIIC) is a plus.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is required.
