Key Responsibilities
- Establish Configuration Management Processes: Define configuration baselines, change control procedures, and version control strategies.
- Manage Configuration Items: Identify and control configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate identification, labeling, and tracking.
- Facilitate Change Control: Administer the change control process for all proposed changes to UAV configurations and ensure configuration integrity.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production Teams: Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align design intent with manufacturing processes.
- Configuration Status Accounting: Track and report the status of configuration items, generating reports to support project milestones and customer deliverables.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and EIA-649C.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in configuration management within the aerospace, defense, or UAV industry.
- In-depth knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and tools (e.g., CMDB, PLM, PDM).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex configurations across multiple product lines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, CMIIC) is a plus.
- Proficiency in managing the change control process, including documentation and approval tracking.
