Focusing on regulatory requirements related to product data in the Middle East and Africa, the incumbent will understand the regulatory landscape and market access requirements for products imported into North Africa and provide certification support for the Middle East and Africa. Direct collaboration with other business units and teams is necessary, requiring strong negotiation skills, the ability to build consensus, and achieve compromise. The impact of decisions made in this role could significantly affect product safety, security, warranty, patents, costs, sales, and customer perceptions.
Job Duties
- Contribute to established tools and processes to manage regulatory compliance and data governance.
- Work with design teams performing product and application compliance reviews.
- Review technical publications such as Operations & Maintenance Manuals and Special Instructions to ensure compliance-related matters are properly addressed.
- Stay updated on new industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements related to data, and communicate these requirements to team members and clients.
- Develop and monitor compliance metrics.
- Represent the company externally in engagements with various industry associations.
- Influence legislation and regulations in draft form by working with regulatory bodies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a similar field of study from an accredited college or university.
- A non-technical degree may be acceptable if the candidate meets job-related experience requirements.
- A minimum of 4 years of job-related experience in engineering, data science, or a compliance-related role.

- Experience in radio or data communications and asset connectivity.
- Knowledge of telematics certification, data regulations, and digital application development.
- Engineering development or validation experience with mobile machines, engines, or power systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of complex engineering concepts and applications.
- Self-starter with strong technical and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, other units, customers, and suppliers.
- Capability to network and communicate across diverse backgrounds, cultures, and management levels.
- Experience in technical advocacy and demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English; French is a plus.

- This position may require up to 25% travel.
- This is a fully office-based role requiring attendance 5 days per week in the office when not traveling for business.
