Position

The Connectivity & Informatics Solutions Consultant will be responsible for building and driving the connectivity strategy in the region, along with providing technical support for IT Applications, Middleware/LIS, connectivity infrastructure, and analytical products. This role includes providing product support to customers who require assistance with assays and instrumentation, as well as software and hardware components sold and distributed by Cepheid in National Healthcare Providers and private healthcare facilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Connectivity Strategy aligned with the Country’s priorities and Cepheid's available offerings.
  • Maintain knowledge of international and national guidelines, health economic studies, and protocols in healthcare services.
  • Build relationships and negotiate with key stakeholders from the Ministry of Health and private/institutional healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with LIS Middleware Providers to ensure connection success and quick resolution of issues.
  • Investigate and resolve customer connectivity and software complaints within KSA and the wider MENA region.
  • Conduct field visits and provide training if necessary.
  • Troubleshoot advanced network connectivity issues and perform data analysis.
  • Document complaints and investigations in the complaint management system.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily and on time.

Work Conditions: Full-time, with 30% travel within the KSA region and regionally within the MENA region. Availability to work flexibly as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or IT with 7+ years of relevant experience in clinical laboratory instrumentation or systems, and a solid IT & Bioinformatics background.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Fluent in English & Arabic (written and oral) is required.
    • Customer-oriented with a technical support or IT connectivity background.
    • Hands-on experience with lab automation systems and LIS.
    • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in communication protocols, especially ASTM/HL7/POCT1A.
    • Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and commercial computer applications (MS Office).
    • Capable of following complex procedures and processes with excellent communication skills.
