Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards aligned with industry best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks related to AI systems, including ethical, operational, legal, and reputational risks.
  • Collaborate with various teams (AI development, data science, legal, compliance, and business) to implement governance and risk management throughout the AI lifecycle.
  • Monitor emerging AI regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines to ensure compliance and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits of AI models and data usage to identify potential biases and security vulnerabilities.
  • Provide guidance and training on AI governance principles and responsible AI use.
  • Support incident response related to AI system failures or governance breaches.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding AI risk posture and compliance.
  • Promote a culture of responsible AI use and continuous improvement in governance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in AI governance, risk management, compliance, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and data management principles.
  • Knowledge of AI ethics, fairness, transparency, and accountability frameworks.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations such as GDPR and the AI Act (EU).
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and audits.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AIGP) are a plus.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is likely required.
