Consultant - Development

OVERVIEW
ROLE PURPOSE
To provide advanced development expertise for Public Security Services by designing, enhancing, and supporting software solutions that meet business requirements, improve service reliability, and ensure alignment with approved technical standards and operational needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Accountabilities

1. Technical Solution Design

   • Design and enhance software components and technical solutions for Public Security Services by translating business and operational requirements into reliable, maintainable, and scalable technical designs.

2. Development & Implementation

   • Develop, configure, and implement application features, integrations, and enhancements in line with approved requirements, coding standards, and delivery timelines.

3. System Integration Support

   • Support integration activities between applications, platforms, and external systems by analyzing interface requirements, resolving technical dependencies, and ensuring stable data exchange.

4. Technical Problem Solving

   • Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes or workarounds to maintain service stability and reduce recurring incidents.

5. Code Quality & Technical Review

   • Review developed code to ensure readability, maintainability, and alignment with approved development standards. Identify technical issues and support debugging activities to improve solution stability.

6. Release & Deployment Support

   • Support release preparation and deployment activities by coordinating technical readiness, validating required changes, and ensuring smooth transition of enhancements to production environments.

7. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

   • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration notes, and knowledge-sharing materials to support continuity, maintainability, and effective handover across teams.

8. Stakeholder & Team Coordination

   • Coordinate with product, operations, quality, and infrastructure teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and ensure technical delivery supports business and service objectives.

9. Policies, Processes & Procedures

   • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

10. Information Security

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in software development, application support, system integration, or related digital service environments.
