This team will play a key role in delivering high-impact consulting projects for Germany’s financial sector. Your future role:
- Carrying out projects in the area of market risk related to: market and liquidity risk models, derivative pricing, trading book, banking book, and ALM, both in quantitative and qualitative terms,
- Developing tools for risk modeling and measurement using various technologies,
- Preparing reports and presentations, performing a wide range of analyses, and developing financial models,
- Executing projects both individually and as part of a team,
- Daily basis cooperation with our colleagues from the PwC Network, especially PwC Germany.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) as well as ability to communicate in German,
- Practical knowledge in one of: derivatives pricing methods, knowledge of market and/or liquidity risk management concepts OR
- Practical knowledge in one of: accounting models, trading, collateral management, clearing, and settlement, including relevant regulations (e.g., market infrastructure, market abuse, etc.),
- Profound knowledge working with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint / Excel),
- Interest in topic development and active participation in the German FS-Risk practice teams and availability for occasional business travel to Germany,
- Willingness to learn new skills,
- Proactive and problem-solving characters,
- Open, proactive, and honest communication style,
- Structured and self-organized work approach with high quality of results.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the financial sector (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management companies),
- Knowledge of programming languages (C#, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, SAS) and packages for data science (tidyverse, sklearn, data.table).
