Continuous Improvement Specialist - Vertiv Operating Systems

Responsible for leading and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects (e.g. Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives) to improve department performance in alignment with key initiatives across the organization. Be part of a highly skilled team of change agents working with all areas of assigned departments as well as aspects related to external customers and suppliers when applicable. Develop, execute and sustain effective process improvements that drive KPI improvements utilizing the company Operating System (VOS) methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a change agent by driving the required cultural transformation and the adoption of successful process improvement practices and by diagnosing barriers to project success and facilitating resolution.
• Leads assigned departments’ business improvement projects including data analysis, preparation & planning, change management, and training of CI methodology e.g. LEAN.
• Directly impacts assigned department’s core processes.
• Frequently interacts with peer groups, normally involving information/best practice exchange, basic problem resolution and process improvement opportunities identification.
• Implements site analysis including baseline of assigned departments business processes and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 3 plus years’ experience.
• Six Sigma / Lean certifications, preferred.
• Proven track record of operational execution.
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
• Execution-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results.
• Strong written and oral communication / presentations skills.
• Ability to apply systems thinking to generate solutions.
• Quality-focused, attentive to detail, and results-oriented.
