This role involves leading and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, specifically focusing on Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives, aimed at enhancing department performance in line with organizational goals. You will be part of a skilled team of change agents, collaborating with assigned departments and external stakeholders to develop, execute, and sustain process improvements that drive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) enhancements utilizing the company Operating System (VOS) methodologies.

Under the guidance of the VOS Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as a change agent by fostering a cultural transformation and promoting successful process improvement practices.
  • Diagnosing and addressing barriers to project success.
  • Leading business improvement projects in assigned departments, which includes data analysis, planning, change management, and training in CI methodologies such as LEAN.
  • Sharing the responsibility for process improvement with the assigned department manager.

Responsibilities

  • Directly impacts core processes within the assigned department.
  • Frequently interacts with peers for exchanging information and identifying best practices, resolving basic problems, and considering process improvement opportunities.
  • Leads change initiatives and drives process excellence.
  • Facilitates communications, education, and training related to VOS at the facility.
  • Conducts site analysis, including establishing baselines for business processes and financial performance, while ensuring continuous measurement and enhancement.
  • Collaborates with department managers to develop and implement VOS strategies.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 3+ years of experience.
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications preferred.

Requirements
Required Experience:

  • Proven track record of operational execution.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams towards common objectives.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work in a matrix management environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong acumen in understanding customer/client issues and applying creative solutions to achieve results.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks, set goals, and create action plans for multiple projects.
  • Execution-oriented with a strong sense of urgency for tangible outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability without formal authority.
  • Effective written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team, possessing strong negotiation and issue resolution skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
  • Capacity to take on authority as needed, advocate for new ideas, delegate responsibilities, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Skills in systems thinking for generating solutions, focusing on holistic processes.
  • Openness to change in response to new information or unexpected situations.
  • Commitment to high ethical, moral, and personal values in all aspects of decision-making and communication.
