Position

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for leading and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, including Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives, to enhance department performance in alignment with key organizational initiatives. The role involves being part of a highly skilled team of change agents, working with various departments as well as external customers and suppliers when applicable. The specialist will develop, execute, and maintain effective process improvements that drive KPI enhancements utilizing the company Operating System (VOS) methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a change agent, driving cultural transformation and the adoption of process improvement practices while diagnosing barriers to project success and facilitating their resolution.
  • Manage business improvement projects within assigned departments, focusing on data analysis, preparation, change management, and CI methodology training.
  • Collaborate with department managers to share responsibility for process improvement.
  • Lead facilities in VOS communications, education, and training.
  • Conduct baseline site analysis of business processes, financial analysis, and continuous improvement measurements.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications are preferred.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in operational execution and leading diverse teams.
  • Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet, statistical analysis, and presentation software.
  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels and work independently in a matrix management environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on customer/client issues.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with an execution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Facilitative leadership skills and ability to advocate for new ideas.
  • Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
