Job Summary: Responsible for leading and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects (e.g., Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives) to improve department performance in alignment with key initiatives across the organization. Be part of a highly skilled team of change agents working with all areas of assigned departments as well as aspects related to external customers and suppliers when applicable. Develop, execute and sustain effective process improvements that drive KPI improvements utilizing the company Operating System (VOS) methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a change agent by driving the required cultural transformation and the adoption of successful process improvement practices and by diagnosing barriers to project success and facilitating resolution.
  • Lead assigned departments’ business improvement projects including data analysis, preparation & planning, change management, and training of CI methodology e.g. LEAN.
  • Share responsibility for process improvement with assigned departments’ manager.
  • Directly impact assigned department’s core processes.
  • Frequently interact with peer groups, involving information/best practice exchange, basic problem resolution, and process improvement opportunities identification.
  • Lead change initiatives and drive process excellence.
  • Implement site analysis including baseline of assigned departments’ business processes and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement.
  • Partner with department manager to develop and deploy VOS strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 3 plus years’ experience.
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications preferred.
  • Proven track record of operational execution.
  • Prior experience in leading diverse teams to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work within a matrix management environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence positive change effectively and advocate new ideas.
  • Quality Focused, Attentive to Detail, and Results-Oriented.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to delegate responsibility and empower teams to make decisions.
  • Open to change in response to new information or unexpected circumstances.
