About the Role
The position involves supervising and controlling the assigned area of the Finance & Control Division by monitoring and directing all accounting activities in alignment with Company Financial Policies and Procedures. The goal is to provide informative reports that facilitate decision-making, manage financial operations such as budgeting, investment management, financial accounting, receivable and payable accounting, client and third-party billing, payroll, cash management, and account reconciliation, while effectively administering financial systems. This role is essential for achieving the objectives of the Finance & Control Division and contributing to performance indicators.

Key Accountabilities
The position has several key specific accountabilities:
- Liaise with Government and external auditors during examinations of Company’s financial records.
- Review audit outcomes and ensure the implementation of recommendations.
- Oversee the preparation of cash flow forecasts for management review.
- Authorize bank releasement letters.
- Ensure the safe keeping of original documents.
- Monitor tracking systems for functional reviews within the Finance Division.
- Update concerned Administrators according to approvals.
- Control fund reallocations after securing appropriate approvals.
- Supervise and approve monthly reconciliations.
- Regularly engage with concerned Assets/Functions to resolve daily financial issues with external parties.
- Authorize debit notes ensuring completeness of supporting documents.
- Approve single payments based on management advice.
- Monitor payments generation ensuring cash availability in consultation with the Cash Management Team.
- Conduct daily reviews of all bank accounts.
- Prepare contingent liabilities for the financial statement.
- Collaborate with Legal on claims and court-related issues.
- Participate in the review of Financial Systems, Processes, and Procedures to identify necessary controls and recommend enhancements.
- Monitor recovery efforts, including analyses for management and control.
- Supervise the timely filing and archiving of accounts payable documents and related records.
- Void returned payments after confirmation from the Cash Management Team.
- Provide required financial information to Internal & External auditors and develop action plans to address any recommendations.
- Endorse user acceptance testing for system enhancements.
- Conduct financial awareness sessions on accounting activities when requested.
- Provide management recommendations on control and compliance matters.
- Supervise the execution of compliance reviews to assess compliance levels, identify gaps, and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee Finance-related initiatives ensuring adherence to timelines as per approved project plans.
- Comply with all UAE, the company, the company and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- 8 years of progressive experience in a major industrial organization, with a minimum of 3 years at a senior accountant or financial controller level.
Professional Certifications
- Membership of a Certified Professional Body is an advantage (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CFA, or equivalent).
