How You Will Make an Impact
As the leader of communications in the MENA region, you will report directly to the MENA Head of Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability, dedicating around 70% of your time to communications and 30% to public affairs across the Rest of Markets cluster. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing internal communication strategies and campaigns that align with business priorities, employee engagement, culture, sustainability, and organizational change.
- Leading external communications and media relations, creating press materials, key messages, and thought-leadership content that enhance the company’s reputation and leadership visibility.
- Managing regional communication channels and platforms, including newsletters, corporate websites, town halls, social media, and intranet content.
- Supporting public affairs by monitoring policy developments and preparing strategic insights, stakeholder briefings, position papers, and executive talking points.
- Building relationships with government entities, industry associations, and other external stakeholders to support advocacy initiatives, leadership visits, and crisis communications.
What Will Make You Successful
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field, alongside a minimum of five years of relevant experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs. Essential skills include:
- Strong experience in both internal and external communications, media relations, and executive communications.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, with French as an additional advantage.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities within a complex regional environment.
- A collaborative approach to building trusted relationships and an adaptable mindset for working across different markets and cultures.
