Cortex (Cards) Technical Associate

About the Job: This position involves using tools for message simulation and transaction testing, validating settlement, reconciliation, and reporting flows, and examining database tables, logs, and message queues for transaction anomalies. Responsibilities include handling card management file flows such as settlement, authorization, and chargebacks, performing data migration, optimizing Oracle databases, and coding in PL/SQL. Additionally, the role requires the development and debugging of shell scripts for batch processing in Linux/Unix environments, coordinating with VISA/Mastercard/MADA for file flows and compliance, and debugging/fixing transaction failures and settlement mismatches. The successful candidate will work with core banking systems, payment gateways, and ATM/POS networks while troubleshooting complex transaction failures across multiple layers in FIS CORTEX modules, switch interfaces, and middleware connections to core banking systems.

Required Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of the FIS CORTEX platform.
• Understanding of card management, transaction processing, and authorization flows.
• Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards and card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay).
