Responsibilities
- Handle product costing, cost allocation, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor raw material consumption, production costs, and inventory valuation.
- Analyse production variances, wastage, yield, and capacity utilisation.
- Prepare monthly costing reports, Management Information Systems (MIS), and product-wise profitability statements.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to understand cost drivers and identify areas for cost improvement.
- Assist in preparing and updating the company's business and financial models, including production volumes, capacity utilisation, raw material costs, operating expenses, and profitability projections.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Assist with monthly closing, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Review existing costing processes and suggest necessary improvements.
Requirements
- Qualified ICWA or CA.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing costing, preferably in the steel industry.
- Hands-on experience in SAP is mandatory, preferably SAP S/4HANA with knowledge of the CO module.
- Good understanding of financial accounting and general accounting principles.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
