Position

The Country Technology Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of applications in the production environment across various business functions. This role includes the implementation and maintenance of in-country data centers and infrastructure, such as servers, networks, storage devices, external connectivity gateways, and telephony systems. The manager will engage with different teams on new initiatives, problem resolutions, and participate in forums requiring technology presence, acting as the interface between business/operations stakeholders and all other technology domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technology budget and enable support for key technology initiatives and risks within the country.
  • Drive the country agenda for technology product launches, system enhancements, and problem/risk resolutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and essential parties to keep local systems and infrastructure updated.
  • Conduct service review meetings and advise on potential technology risk areas.
  • Own and implement service improvement initiatives for system performance and stability.
  • Be the primary point of contact for high-severity incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain stability and capacity of local IT systems and infrastructure while addressing obsolescence.
  • Participate in cloud transformation opportunities and help maximize digitization of processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technology.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both spoken and written); proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong analytical abilities and capability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Preferably holds a Master’s degree in a technology-related field and relevant certifications.
