As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Customer Solutions Manager (CSM)
You will be responsible for guiding AWS customers through their multi-year journey to the cloud. In this highly visible role, you will ensure effective collaboration between AWS teams and partners to deliver outcomes that benefit our customers. You will act as a trusted partner, leveraging your delivery experience with technical change programs to assist customers in navigating the operational, educational, and governance aspects of a successful AWS cloud journey.

Your responsibilities will include interfacing with AWS customers and leadership, driving collaboration among core account groups (Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture, and Professional Services), product/engineering teams, and partner/customer teams to plan and support workload migrations. You will translate strategic initiatives from the account plan into executable actions, maintaining focus on key customer milestones. This involves leading the delivery of education plans, aligning roadmaps to business outcomes, and organizing Executive Briefing Sessions and go-live events.

Successful candidates for this role will possess a delivery and change management background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate outstanding communication abilities, both at the executive and project team levels. You will be responsible for leading technical transformations, owning migrations and strategic initiatives, and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of existing and emerging technologies related to cloud computing.

In addition, you will collaborate with customers to identify and prioritize strategic initiatives, support change management for AWS services adoption, and contribute to the growth of the Customer Solutions Management function by defining and implementing new processes, methodologies, and tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale technical or engineering programs with a strong record in thought leadership and successful program completion.
  • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with customer executives and technologists to solve business problems with advanced technologies.
  • Proven history of problem-solving and developing technology programs across customer organizations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Experience in a direct or matrixed role leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience implementing cloud services, including migrations and modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of AWS Services and Solutions; AWS Solution Architect (Professional Level) certification is required within three months of start date.
  • Project management certification or Agile certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in delivering large-scale migration, modernization, and rationalization engagements.
