You will report to the Cyber Operations Lead, contributing to maintaining a strong cyber security posture through various proactive and reactive programs of work. The role involves collaborating with other cyber security streams and business units to ensure operational requirements are met, supporting the organization's capabilities in cyber security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in incident response, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability management, acting as a cyber-security technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Review, build, maintain, and mature cyber security capabilities against existing and developing threats.
  • Engage in internal and external cyber security forums and exercises.
  • Mentor and develop cyber security interns.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in ICT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Cyber Security certifications (Offensive Security or SANS preferred).
  • Experience in cyber security operations, incident response, or digital forensics.
  • Understanding of hacker tools, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience with cyber security technologies (AV, EDR, SIEM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with IT fundamentals (systems administration and networking).
  • Basic understanding of information security standards (ISM, NIST, ISO, PCI DSS).
  • Basic programming/scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Eligibility for Defence security clearance NV1 and the ability to obtain NV2, as well as clearance for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
