Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor security systems, networks, and applications for threats, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activity.
- Assist in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber incidents, working with senior analysts to contain and mitigate threats.
- Perform basic threat analysis to identify emerging risks and support vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts.
- Participate in routine internal security audits and assessments to ensure policy compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and investigation documentation, assisting in updating security procedures and knowledge base materials.
- Work closely with IT and security teams to implement security measures and enhance overall security posture.
- Participate in ongoing cybersecurity training programs to strengthen technical and professional skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat types, and industry best practices.
- Foundational knowledge in operating systems, networking, and security tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Introductory familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, or incident response workflows is a plus.
- Interest in pursuing beginner-level cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) is favorable.
