Cyber Security Associate

The Cyber Security Associate is an entry-level role that allows individuals to perform a variety of functions within GISD, including Cyber Defense Center, Cyber Operations, Governance Risk and Compliance, Resilience, PMO, Privacy Operations, and Engineering Functions. This position involves participating in and leading project delivery in a cross-functional manner, both within and outside of GISD.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the company teams in data security assessments.
• Work on a wide variety of tasks including research, internal processes, engineering, and operations.
• Create reports and recommendations based on training findings, detailing security issues uncovered and the level of risk.
• Plan and create penetration methods, scripts, and tests.
• Present security findings, risks, and conclusions to management and relevant parties.
• Understand the potential impact of identified flaws/risks on a business.
• Monitor and report on new and emerging threats to security in the Technology arena.
• Participate in GISD projects and communicate updates to stakeholders outside GISD.
• Complete assigned training on time and demonstrate acceptable success rates.

Requirements

• Recent graduates from a reputable university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT, or related education.
• Quick learner and adaptable.
• Ability to thrive in a highly motivated work environment.
• Basic knowledge of Cyber Security domains and Risk frameworks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and persistence with a willingness to work on diverse activities/tasks.
• Understanding of trends in Information Security and Risk Management.
• Basic knowledge of Information Security principles and practices.
