The Cyber Security Associate role (UAE Nationals Only) based in Abu Dhabi is designed to support the governance and execution of information security programs and projects across the company. Reporting to the Head of IS Programs and Projects, the associate manages procurement activities, maintains project documentation, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and internal policies. This role contributes to the effective delivery of information security projects by overseeing procurement processes, documenting project activities, coordinating stakeholder interactions, and monitoring project performance.

Engaging actively with cross-functional teams, the associate ensures the identification and mitigation of risks, adherence to project timelines, and maintenance of quality standards. The position plays a vital role in enhancing the transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of the company’s information security efforts while supporting strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Create purchase requisitions in the system and follow up with VMCP for timely approvals.
  • Collect completion certificates to record goods/services receipt in the system along with all supporting documents.
  • Support the administration of project financial reporting and review the department budget and expenditures.
  • Maintain project documentation including project charters, schedules, risk logs, and approvals for changes.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of projects to ensure adherence to governance policies and procedures.
  • Raise concerns to the head of IS programs and Projects regarding any identified governance risks or issues.
  • Coordinate with program and project owners across the company to gather information and update project status.
  • Consolidate reports on program and project quality, schedules, and costs for GISD management.
  • Work with various stakeholders involved in information security programs and projects to identify issues, gaps, and areas for improvement, proposing suggestions to the Information Security Projects Manager for approval.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of information security processes and technologies.
  • Extensive understanding of program and project lifecycle, delivery methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NESA, PCI DSS, SWIFT, and other information security standards and regulations.
