As a Cybersecurity Intern/Co-Op, you will support Tamara’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's systems and data. You will monitor security practices, assess vulnerabilities, and contribute to security awareness initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring cybersecurity policies, procedures, and practices across the company.
- Support the team in tracking and documenting security incidents and responses.
- Participate in basic vulnerability assessments or security checks under supervision.
- Contribute to third-party risk reviews and vendor security assessments.
- Research emerging cyber threats and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in creating cybersecurity awareness content and training materials.
- Maintain records of security audits and risk assessments.
- Engage in discussions aimed at enhancing security posture and resilience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Undergraduate student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Academic projects or internships in cybersecurity, IT security, or GRC are a plus.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., CIA triad, access control, encryption).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools or concepts such as firewalls, endpoint protection, or SIEM.
- Strong research and documentation capabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with integrity.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus).
