The Cyber Security Engineer will report to the Cyber Security Lead and will require deep expertise in securing AWS Cloud environments as well as managing a wide range of defensive security tools and processes for network security. This role involves reviewing, designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect cloud infrastructure from evolving threats.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Secure cloud-based services and infrastructure components following industry best practices.
  • Manage and optimize Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
  • Oversee Web Content Gateway configurations for secure filtering and protection of web traffic.
  • Manage Network Detection and Response (NDR) for real-time threat identification.
  • Administer Privileged Access Management (PAM) to protect privileged accounts.
  • Oversee Data Leak Prevention (DLP) solutions to prevent data exfiltration.
  • Manage Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) for data integrity and secure access.
  • Lead Vulnerability Management programs for timely identification and remediation of security risks.
  • Develop and maintain incident response processes for rapid threat detection and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Blue Team to optimize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Respond to and remediate identified threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities effectively.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve security practices and technologies to align with emerging threats and industry advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity focused on cloud, application, and infrastructure security.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Security+, CCNA, CCNP) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven expertise with AWS Cloud Security tools and solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in network security and experience managing Web Content Gateways.
  • Experience in executing cybersecurity projects and assessments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and drive results.
