Position

Akkodis is a commercial brand under which both AKKA and Modis entities operate and is seeking a Cyber Security Lead. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years in the cybersecurity domain, with substantial experience in both IT and OT environments. A proven track record in conducting risk assessments and establishing or operating Security Operations Centers (SOCs), along with a deep understanding of the Middle East market, is essential.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of diverse cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and platforms, including threat modeling, risk analysis, mitigation strategies, and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud security, and mobile/web application security.
  • Familiarity with data encryption and handling cardholder data (CHD) in payment systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical subjects to non-experts and support sales teams during presales phases.
  • Nuanced understanding of Middle Eastern business culture, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with local clientele and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for cybersecurity and a drive to exceed personal and team objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a proactive cybersecurity culture that emphasizes continuous learning and adherence to international best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to tailor cybersecurity strategies to the specific demands and challenges of the Middle East market.
  • Conduct thorough cybersecurity risk assessments for clients, identifying vulnerabilities, potential threats, and recommending appropriate mitigation measures in both IT and OT environments.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cybersecurity, particularly around Security Operations Centers (SOCs), threat intelligence platforms, intrusion detection systems, and proactive incident response methodologies.
  • Conduct and lead internal workshops and training sessions to promote knowledge sharing on the latest cybersecurity threats, technological innovations, and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for multilingual communications, ensuring effective, accurate, and culturally sensitive interactions with Middle Eastern clients.
  • Lead internal security assessments and gap analyses against PCI DSS standards, and coordinate support for formal assessments by external QSA firms.
  • Guide the organization in creating and maintaining policies and procedures required for PCI DSS certification.
  • Translate and adapt technical documents, proposals, and other key materials between English and Arabic, ensuring precision and clarity tailored to diverse client demands.
