In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing security measures, analyzing security risks, and responding to security incidents. You will collaborate with various teams within the organization to ensure a proactive defense against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and manage security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection).
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts to detect and mitigate potential security threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to implement secure systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging attack techniques.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and support on security best practices and risk management.
- Assist in disaster recovery and incident response plans.
- Support audits and compliance efforts (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
Key Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security or incident response.
- Strong understanding of security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, endpoint protection).
- Experience with vulnerability management, risk assessment, and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring and incident response.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are preferred.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
