Cyber Threat Hunter Lead

About the Role
The Cyber Threat Hunter Lead is responsible for leading efforts to identify and mitigate cyber threats. This role involves proactive threat hunting to identify vulnerabilities and suspicious activities across the organization's systems and networks.

Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability

• Lead the threat hunting team in developing and executing innovative hunting strategies.
• Analyze and correlate data from various sources to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain threat hunting processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to validate and resolve security incidents.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff on threat hunting techniques.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest threat landscape and cybersecurity trends to enhance the threat hunting program.

Professional Certifications

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar).
• Additional certifications in threat intelligence and incident response are a plus.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific focus on threat hunting and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with threat hunting tools and platforms.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and mitigating security threats.
