Cybersecurity Associate

About the Job: We are seeking a Cybersecurity Associate to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work onsite and involves some travel based on business needs. As a key part of our Security team, you will be a first responder during security incidents, monitoring and analyzing network threats 24/7/365.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• MSS L1 (Triage) analysts are first responders during security incidents.
• Monitoring the organization's network to identify potential threats.
• Reviewing SIEM alerts to categorize severity and issue types; Shift Leads will instruct the triage team to perform required actions.
• Analyzing payloads and validating IP reputations, ports, files, hashes, file paths, usernames, and other host details.
• Conducting quick searches on rule indexes and adding possible artifacts to alerts based on extended research.
• Checking historical records in the knowledge base for similar past alerts.
• Providing initial recommendations to stakeholders and escalating issues to XFTM L2 Analysts.
• Creating tuning requests and suggesting modifications of SIEM rules based on false positives or excessive noise.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise: A strong interest in Cybersecurity, ideally with an educational background in security.
