To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Defense Sr. Lead. This role is responsible for working in a 24x7 Security Operation Centre environment to provide analysis and trends of security log data from various security devices to ensure the detection of threats and availability of solutions across all regions in the company.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for technical security solutions, controls, and architecture.
  • Prioritize security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report/direct remediation actions.
  • Provide technical security administrative duties for infrastructure related to firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanning, security monitoring tools, authentication, web filtering, and identity management.
  • Provision and audit access controls on information systems containing sensitive data.
  • Monitor system logs, tools, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments, followed by appropriate remedial action to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct Threat Hunting and simulation-based attacks.
  • Perform manual and dynamic malware analysis.
  • Engage in dark web monitoring and open threat intelligence.
  • Contribute to IT risk identification, classification, and response processes.
  • Support technical security project implementations and meet project deadlines.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on current security threats and vulnerabilities to relevant information systems.
  • Assist in developing and fine-tuning use cases and create dashboards.
  • Support the preparation and execution of InfoSec audits.
  • Provide direction for improving InfoSec policies, processes, and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics & Electrical, or any related field.

  • Preferred Certifications:

    • CEH
    • OSCP (Added Advantage)
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Firewall certifications
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security (CCNA-Security)
    • ITIL Foundation
    • Splunk Certifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, and risk management.

  • Familiarity with best practice security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.

  • Kali Linux and Packet Analysis
  • Secure Coding Practices/Intrusion Detection/Prevention/Security Incident Handling/Threat Hunting/Incident Management.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English (additional languages may be beneficial).
