This role is responsible for working in a 24x7 Security Operation Centre environment to analyze and identify trends in security log data from various heterogeneous security devices to ensure threat detection and maintain security solutions across all regions in the company.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for technical security solutions, controls, and architecture.
  • Prioritize security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report/direct remediation actions.
  • Provision and audit access controls on information systems containing sensitive data.
  • Monitor system logs, tools, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret such activity and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Perform Threat Hunting, classification, and response processes.
  • Contribute to the enterprise risk management process as needed.
  • Implement technical security projects and meet project deadlines.
  • Research and stay updated on current security threats and vulnerabilities relevant to information systems.
  • Provide support in developing and fine-tuning use cases and creating dashboards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics & Electrical, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations (SOC, DFIR, cyber defense, or related roles).
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Splunk Certifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of security concepts, cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, and incident management.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practice security frameworks such as NIST, SAMA CSF, OWASP, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), VM, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, SOAR, Cloud Security (AWS/OCI/GCP/Azure), Email Security, Mitre Attack framework, and packet analysis.
  • Good understanding of IS security controls, monitoring systems, and business drivers impacting security policy and practices.
